The velvet padding is 3-1/4 inches wide and about 1/2 inch thick. The largest size available is Extra (sometimes referred to in the trade as "Elephant") sized straps. This item may be the largest size available in normal manufacture today.The quick-release adjustable back strap makes for even greater stability and enhances comfort.
